Terms & Conditions 

1. The competition is run by Faunatech, 6/269 Victoria Road, Rydalmere NSW 2116.

2. Employees of Faunatech, including staff and freelance contributors, are not permitted to enter.

3. The competition will close on June 30th, 2023. All entries must be received before this time. Only one entry per named entrant and email address will be accepted. This date may be altered at Faunatech’s discretion.

4. Every entrant can submit up to a maximum of 3 photos per category.

5. Only online submissions will be accepted.

6. Each photographer retains copyright of his or her images, and proper credit lines will be attributed to each photographer when used in any publicity of Faunatech. The entrant authorises Faunatech to display, print, and distribute in any manner any photographs entered in this competition to conduct and promote the competition.

7. To win the competition and be eligible to receive a prize, you must be an Australian citizen or current Australian resident. Prizes will only be delivered within Australia. 

8. The entrant must be the copyright owner of any images he/she enters into the competition.

9. Any post-production and editing must be the work of the entrant.

10. All images must be wholly photographic in origin. Images created entirely or in part with the assistance of artificial intelligence, 3D, or illustration software may not be entered.

11. The entrant is responsible for obtaining all relevant model and/or property releases.

12. By entering, the entrant is agreeing to all the terms and conditions, and also agreeing to allow Faunatech to use and publish the winning entry in Faunatech’s website and social media channels.

13. All entries should be made using the entrant’s legal name. Any dishonest information provided by the entrant will be disqualified.

14. Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions (including instructions) will disqualify any entrant from taking part in the Competition and the entry will be invalid.

15. The winning entries may also be used by Faunatech and the competition sponsors in marketing material relating to the competition for up to 3 years.

16. The entrant indemnifies Faunatech against any claim, legal or otherwise, that may arise out of publication of the image.

17. By entering the photograph into this competition the entrant guarantees to Faunatech that the above entry requirements have been met.

18. This is not a game of chance.

19. The winner of the competition will be selected by a person nominated by Faunatech. The judge's decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

20. Winners will be notified via email a month after the deadline.

21. Once notified, the winner must reply within a 10 day period.

22. If the selected winner is unreachable, ineligible, disqualified or fails to claim the prize [within 10 days of notification], the winner automatically forfeits the prize.

23. The prize cannot be bartered and is not redeemable for cash. Faunatech retains sole discretion to refuse entrants the right to enter if we feel that these terms and conditions are not being complied with or for any valid and justifiable reason.

24. Faunatech reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time in its absolute discretion.

25. All personal data submitted by an entrant in connection with this competition is submitted voluntarily.

Requirements:

There will be two categories within which entrants can submit their photos. The first category is for general wildlife photography, the only requirement being that the photos includes one, or multiple, animals. The second category is exclusively for images taken with camera traps.

Prizes:

HP2X Reconyx Hyperfire 2 Covert IR Camera x2 (One for each category).
